Focus of RMT group • To research, develop and evaluate innovative mobile health care applications • By combining Biomedical Engineering with Information and Communication Technology • Focused on remote monitoring and remotely supervised training/treatment • Initially focused on “Rehabilitation”

Expertise RMT • The MobiHealth project (IST; 2002-2004) • To demonstrate the use of wireless communication in health applications • Combining different BANs and wireless communication to create M-Health platform • Tested with different wireless communication (GPRS, UMTS, WLAN, bluetooth) • Feasibility tested in nine trials in 4 countries (pregn., cardio, COPD) CTIT APS, ASNA
