  5. We Must Understand Your Aspirations What are the dynamics of your business? What are the demands of your position? How is your world changing? What are your greatest aspirations? What are the obstacles to success?

  6. You Need Research If... • You suspect that events are forming a pattern, but are not certain. • You are aware of a pattern and need to change it, but are not clear about the structure that causes it. • You are about to embark on a change process and need a baseline.

  7. We Attempt To Fit The Method To The Need • Get beyond the patterns. You care more about understanding what might cause the customer to defect than whether she is “satisfied.” Use appropriate and cost-effective methodologies (automation, use of samples where possible). • Meet the scientific requirements. Don’t use quantitative methods where qualitative methods are sufficient.
