  1. Welcome Key Clubbers!

  2. The Key Club Pledge I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

  3. ATTENTION There have been multiple events lately that people have signed up for and NOT attended! You are giving the club a bad reputation, and we could lose the opportunity to volunteer at some great events! • Before you sign up for an event, be 100% sure you can make it! • No signing up friends on SUG! • You cannot put you will leave early/come late to an event. If you cannot be there the whole time, do not sign up. • You need to show up a couple minutes early and stay until the job is done. • If you realize you cannot volunteer, DELETE YOUR SIGN UP; SOMEONE ELSE WILL TAKE YOUR SLOT. • SHOW UP!!!

  4. The deadline to register was… OCTOBER 1ST Some people have only done parts of registration, so you need to ensure you did every part of registering so you are a registered member!

  5. Get your Key Club shirtnow! Our new shipment of shirt are in! If you haven’t picked up your shirt yet, you need to do so TODAY after the meeting! Shirts will be in Mrs. Haygood’s room, but you must this week.

  6. Let’s welcome… Mr. Tullos! He is going to be giving us some information on scholarship opportunities!

  8. It’s October! You know what that means? It’s time to…

UNICEF is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of children across the globe who suffer from malnutrition, lack of clean water, insufficient medical care, and overall don’t have the necessities to live. Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF is a fun and easy way to help provide those needs for children across the world. Look at all you can do! $1 – Clean water for a child for 40 days! $5 – Give food to a malnourished child for 5 days! $10 – Vaccinate 280 children! $100 – Protect 100 kids from malaria! $500 – Provide a water pump to an entire village!

  10. Check out a UNICEF box after the meeting! • Fill that box ¾ of the way full with coins and bills! • Once the box is full you can… a. Bring the money back and fill up again b. Return the box and your money • You can drop off your money BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL ONLY to Mrs. Haygood in Room 2110 • IF YOU LOOSE YOUR BOX OR FAIL TO RETURN IT BY OCTOBER 31ST, IT IS A $5 FEE. IF YOU FAIL TO PAY THIS FEE, YOU WILL BE PLACED ON THE FINES AND FEES LIST! DEADLINE: FRIDAY OCTOBER 31ST

  11. PUMPKIN SMASH FOR UNICEF We are holding a brand new event this year! To benefit UNICEF, we are going to be holding a Pumpkin Smash! For $5, you will get 1 donation hour and one physical hour and get to smash a pumpkin with a baseball bat! WHERE: Behind the cafeteria patio (in the grass) WHEN: October 29th (after school)

  13. There are plenty of available events! Check Sign Up Genius and the website regularly! An email was sent last week with a list of every event on Sign Up Genius! We update almost everyday, so always be on the lookout!

  14. Need donation hours? Walmart Gift Cards! Every $5 = 1 donation hour Coke Tabs! 1 FULL Ziploc bag = 1 donation hour NEW! Donate jars of peanut butter and jelly to benefit Cy Fair Helping Hands! 2 jars = 1 donation hour (Room 3006) Don’t forget to fill up those UNICEF boxes for 1 donation hour!

  15. Candy for The Addams Family! Theatre needs our help! On their performance of The Addams Family on October 31st, kids will be allowed to come in costumes and trick-or-treat with the characters! We need you to bring store-bought bags of packaged candy! You will receive one donation hour for every $5 spent!

  16. Want to go see The Addams Family? If you attend any of our theatre department’s productions on The Addams Family, show us your ticket and you will receive 1 social credit! • October 30th @ 7PM • October 31st@ 7PM • November 1st@ 2PM & 7PM • November 2nd @ 2PM

  18. Show the community what Key Club is all about! Monday: Your Way End of our Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive! Tuesday: Connect the Ks Thank the Kiwanians at their meeting! Wednesday: Show Your K In Every Way Wear your Key Club shirt to our club meeting! Thursday: Bring A Friend To Key Club Bring your friends and family to our Willie’s Ice House Social! Friday: Kudos To The Key Players Donate baked goods for teachers! Bring baked goods to the teacher’s lounge before school (no earlier) on 11/8 for one donation hour each!

  19. Willie’s Icehouse Social Celebrate Key Club Week and bring your friends and family! WHERE: Willie’s (On 290 and Barker Cypress next to HEB) WHEN: November 7th from 4-close

  20. Lock In! Join us for a an awesome night filled with food, games, movies, service! Cost: $35 *If your parent volunteers as a chaperone, your ticket will be $25! You can turn money into Room 3006 ONLY starting on 10/27! ONLY 200 SPOTS! WHERE: The Commons WHEN: November 14th-15th from 10:30 to 6am WHAT: Pizza, snacks, movies, service projects, games, donuts, and more! Want to donate? Bring snacks and food for donation hours! Every $5 = 1 donation hour

  21. BRING YOUR SERVICE CARD TO EVERY MEETING! If you do not have your service card with you at the meeting YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE! If you need your service card signed for an event or social you volunteered at/attended, fill out the date, event name, number of hours, etc. and THEN we will sign it for you!
