  2. Overview: Fly Ash -A byproduct of coal-fired electric generating plants, i.e. Fly Ash. It is produced from burning pulverized coal in electric power generating plants.   3. Types of Fly Ash -Fly ash is divided into residues as resulting from – the combustion of powdered coal. It is usually captured from the chimneys of coal-fired power plant. -Fine Fly Ash also has pozzolanic properties. Sometimes, it is blended with cement for some reason. There are two types of fly ash that are commonly used i.e. Class C & Class F. -The product includes enough amount of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) & Calcium oxide (CaO). -However, it also includes toxic constituents such as boron, arsenic, chromium, cadmium, lead, manganese, thallium, etc.
