  4. Foreign Language Spanish French French I or II (if you’ve already taken I) • Spanish I or II (if you’ve already taken I) • Taking 2 years of a Foreign Language plus a Fine Art class allows you to go to a 4 year college or university.

HUMANITIES • Speech: develop your skills in public speaking • Creative Writing:study and write in the genres of poetry, drama, short story, and nonfiction • Film Studies: understanding and appreciating the art of film.You will research and analyze film, film makers, film cultures, the film industry, and film audiences • Science Fiction: take a look at prevalent themes in science fiction such as Visions in the Future, Alien Encounters, Man and Science, and others.

  9. BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY • Business Management Develop a foundation of the many activities, problems, and decisions that are necessary to the management of a successful business. Content will include business organization, ethical and legal responsibilities, communication, decision-making, personnel, safety, professional development, and related careers.

  11. FulCom • Radio: learn about the history of radio and how to operate our radio station 91.1. Students will have a chance to DJ, operate the control boards, and choose music to play on-air. • TV: learn about film styles, how to shoot footage, editing techniques, more. • Web Design: learn how to create websites by writing code. • Digital Arts I: learn about photography and image manipulation; use Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator to produce magazine covers, brochures, posters. • Digital Arts II

  12. HEALTH SCIENCE • Health Science Education Introduction to health care occupations including health care communications systems, legal responsibilities, ethics, teamwork, and safety practices. • Career Pathways in: Diagnostic Medicine Exercise Science Nursing Therapeutics EMS

  13. SKILLED PROFESSIONS • Cosmetology: acquire basic skills in safety, environmental issues, principles of hair design, nail structure, and cosmetic procedures • Construction Core: introduction to basic skills of construction including safety construction drawings, site layout, hand and power tools. • Principles of Engineering: explore the skills necessary to all engineering fields, quality assurance, and quality control procedures in manufacturing.

  14. NEXT STEPS… • Take time during this class to mark your selections on your registration form. Choose 8 and rank them #1 (first choice) to #8. You will not get all 8, but it will allow Mrs. Christodoulou to give you the classes you want rather than guess. • Once done marking your selections, take out your phone and take a photo for your records. • Take your registration sheet home and review it with your parent/guardian and both of you sign. • Return your signed sheet to Mrs. Clower or Advisory teacher.
