  14. Definition Club Length • The length of the longest club of the 14 (or fewer) clubs the player has during the round, other than a putter. • Club-lengths are used in defining the player’s teeing area on each hole and in determining the size of the player’s relief area when taking relief under a Rule.

  15. Ball Moved • Moved – only if “known or virtually certain” • If not known or virtually certain, ball played as it lies

  16. Definition Known or Virtually Certain • The standard for deciding what happened to a player’s ball. • Means more than just possible or probable. It means that either: • There is conclusive evidence that the event in question happened to the player’s ball, such as when the player or other witnesses saw it happen, or • Although there is a very small degree of doubt, all reasonably available information shows that it is at least 95% likely that the event in question happened “All reasonably available information” includes all information the player knows and all other information he or she can get with reasonable effort and without unreasonable delay.

  17. 2019 Rules of Golf Ball Moved on Putting Green • No penalty if you, your opponent, or another player accidentally move your ball or ball-marker on putting green • Replace ball or ball-marker to original spot (if not known must be estimated) • If natural forces cause your ball to move on the putting green, where you must play from next depends on the following; • If the ball has already been lifted and replaced – Your ball must be replaced on its original spot (if not known must be estimated) • If the ball has not already been lifted and replaced – Your ball must be played from its new spot
