  10. Should We Fast Today? • We are not commanded to fast: • Not told when or how often • There are times when a Christian can profit from fasting: • Death in family! • When caring for and supporting others! • When doing so from the heart! • When full attention must be give to spiritual things!

Should We Fast Today? • If and when we fast: • We must do so with humble, pure motives and without out hypocrisy! • Lk. 18:9-12 • We must examine our hearts when we do! • 2 Cor. 13:5 • We must not do it as a show to impress others! • Matt. 6:16-18 • We may practice fasting: • But, cannot bind it on others! • Rom. 14:1-9 • It is a personal option and action! • When we fast, we must follow the regulations of Christ! • Matt: 6:16-18
