  1. Facts for November 10 November 1871 The missing Scottish explorer Dr David Livingston was found near Lake Tanganyika in Central Africa by journalist Henry Stanley. He famously said ‘Dr Livingston I presume?’ when he met him. 11 November Armistice Day At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 WWI ended with the signing of a peace agreement. People today remember the millions of soldiers who died in both the 2 World Wars and in other conflicts by wearing a poppy and taking part in a two minutes silence at 11am

  4. Early Break Tuesday 11 November So we can observe the 2 Minute Silence on Tuesday we’ll have a slightly earlier break and hold the 2 Minute Silence in the lines where staff are asked to join the children around 10.55 ready for 11.00am

  5. Eco Club This year we need to choose two new topics to go alongside Litter to focus on. We would like your help to choose. Each class will be given a sheet with our ideas of things to do this year. Here are your choices… Water Transport Sustaining Our World Energy Waste Minimisation Health and Wellbeing Food and the Environment Each club member will assist the teacher in carrying out a small discussion and vote with their own class.

  6. Children in Need At Break times this week at the Reception our P7s will be selling wrist bands and Lucky Numbers. Our Danceathon takes place on Thursday. Friday brings Bric-a-brac, Nail in the Bail, Wheel of Fortune, Nail Painting, Tattoos and much more. There will also be our usual colouring competition. We look forward to seeing you all on Friday.

  8. Well Done to …………. Liam successfully completed Level 6 Becky on completing her length (25m) and Innes successfully completed Level 3 at their Swimming Classes.
