  2. 1. Jesus Is Interceding

  3. Romans 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

  4. Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 

  5. Intercession is the act of bringing two parties together.

  6. Joshua 17:10 Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.

  7. Joshua 19:11 And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;

  8. When we couldn’t reach to God, He reached to us.

  9. Isaiah 59:16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.

  10. Isaiah 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. 

  11. 2. The Holy Spirit is Interceding

  12. Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpsin our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercessionfor us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercessionfor the saints according to the will of God.

  13. Prayer is the transference of a burden.

  14. 3. We Are Interceding

  15. We are building bridges between God and the people we pray for.

  16. 1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
