Fall meeting 10/29/10 in Huntsville included tour of MSFC test facilities, including panel and shell buckling fixtures and specimens • SDM - 197 abstracts submitted, 22 moved or withdrawn, 28 rejected (84% acceptance rate). 19 SDM sessions, 12 DSC sessions (8 regular, 4 special) • Education subcommittee - 2011 SDM outreach will be targeted at high school students. 8 high schools invited to Wed. evening at 1 of the schools. After introductions, students will attend 4 of 6 repeated 25-minute presentations on aspects of structural dynamics related to launch vehicle mission life. Refreshments and mingling afterwards. • Standards - SDTC is a sponsor of Langley’s “Workshop on Aeroelastic Prediction”. Using existing experiment data, a set of workshops will “assess state-of-the-art methods & tools for the prediction and assessment of aeroelastic phenomena”. SDTC is also supporting NATO Research & Technology Organization to upgrade the AGARD Manual on Aeroelasticity. Liaison Report from Structural Dynamics TC Bruce Willis
