  1. DALLAS CLASSICBASEBALL

  2. About us • Dallas Classic Baseball is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. • Dallas Classic Baseball is a competitive recreational league. • Our mission is for kids to learn how to play the game of baseball the right way and continue to grow and succeed in the sport. • Fairness, sportsmanship, competitiveness, and having fun are the fundamentals of the Dallas Classic Baseball program. • Dallas Classic Baseball is striving to stay as the top youth baseball organization in the DFW area.

  3. Coach Conduct • The game is about the kids, NOT about YOU. • You have nothing on the line, it is only a game. • Failure to heed this tenet will result in someone being asked to leave the fields. This rule will be enforced by umpires and league officials. Each HEAD COACH is responsible for your teams assistant coaches and parents. • No alcoholic beverages allowed. This is a zero tolerance rule.

  4. Requesting Blackout Dates & Practice Fields Blackout Dates • The league will black Halloween (10/31) • Each team is allowed 5 single black out days. • Survey Monkey to be completed and submitted by Wednesday 8/28. • https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XWGH9NK Practice Fields • Each team will issued a 1 hour time slot once a week. • New tee ball teams are issued practice kits instead of fields. • NO practice field will be assigned if no team representative is present tonight.

  5. Practice Fields • Fields are pre-reserved locations across the Dallas area. • The 1 hour reservations are paid for through the player registration fees. • In your seat are instructions for turning in your 5 different fields requests including the day of the week and time. • Coaches that had a field for the spring 2019 season will be granted first right of refusal on the same field and time slot. • All others requesting a field or wanting to change fields will be done through raffle tickets right now. • Practice fields will be assigned no later than 9/2.

  6. Umpires • Umpires are going to make mistakes, deal with it in a professional manner. • Head coaches are responsible for assistant coaches, players, and player’s parents behaviors during the games. • Ejections from a game will result in a 1 game suspension plus a Board disciplinary review, possibly leading to additional action. Please act like responsible adults.

  7. Fall 2019 • 12 game schedule (8-9 Saturday/Sunday games and 3-4 weeknight games) starting September 7th. • Tee ball will play a 10 game schedule with almost all games scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays at multiple locations. • No post season tournaments. • No All Star World Series. • All coaches/parents planning on being on the field for practice or games needs to register and submit a background check.

More than 2 forfeits or no shows will result in a season suspension for that head coach.

  9. Weather/Rainouts • The city rainout line ONLY applies to practice fields. • Game cancellations will be posted on Facebook, Twitter, league email, and Team Connect notification as soon as the decision is made. • Please DO NOT reply to the league email. • Rained out games will be rescheduled as soon as 48 hours from the original game time and as close as 5 days from the originally scheduled game. • Please refer to Rule 7.03.C in the USSSA Rule Book. • Any coach may cancel a game if they feel the weather or the field conditions are unsafe for their players as long as they communicate with league officials and the opposing coaches. • Fridays will be left open for rainout reschedules.
