  4. Sustantivos • Can be masculine or feminine. • Masculine: end in -o, -or, -aje, -ambre • Feminine: end in –a, -dad, -d, -umbre, -ie, -sis, -itis, -ción, -tad, -tud, -ión *These are general rules, but there are exceptions.

  6. Singular vs. Plural • Nouns that end with vowels are made plural by adding –s. Hombre- hombres plato-platos papa-papas • Nouns that end with consonants are made plural by adding –es. Ciudad- ciudades cantidad-cantidades mujer-mujeres • Nouns that end with –s can be singular and plural.
