  1. UPsali for Joyful Saturday I start in the name of the Holy God, the Immortal Eternal and the Judge, our Savior the reviver of souls, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. With planning and wisdom He came, He took flesh and became man, and freed us from captivity, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. He resembled the servant He created, for the salvation of those in sadness, the Eternal Word became flesh, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. Our Master willingly saved us, and returned Adam to his home, after sorrow overwhelmed him, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. A light shone forth from David's house, by Him were led the sons of man, to whom hosts of the throne worship, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. He bowed the heavens and came down, for the salvation of Adam His servant, let us all praise Him and say, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. He saved Adam and granted him, salvation from all sadness, from captivity and distress, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. He accepted for us all sufferings, from the oppressors Caiphas and Hannan, and from the Jews the stiff-necked, agios atha-na-tos nai nan. To the Lord the earth and what’s therein, all the cities and inhabitants, the creation dies and He revives it, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. Keep Your people from all evil, and grant peace unto the Church, let her servants be sons of light, agios Atha-na-tos nai nan. v v v
