  1. محزوز الحيود :Diffraction Grating وسيلة أو أداء معملية توضح ظاهرة الحيود والمحزوز عبارة عن لوح أو شريحة من الزجاج حز على أحد سطحيها خطوطا راسية مستقيمة ومتوازية بواسطة سن دقيق و يبلغ عددها بضعة ألاف أو بضعة مئات في السنتيمتر( من 2000 إلى 6000 خط/سم ) ويمر الضوء من خلال المسافات الشفافة بين الخدوش. الخدوش لا ينفذ منها الضوء وتمثل حواجز معتمة بين هذه الفتحات افترض سقوط حزمة ضوئية أحادية اللون على هيئة موجة مستوية على محزوز حيود، نعتبركل فتحة كمصدر لمويجات ثانوية وتبعث أمواجــامترابطة، نعتبر الضوء الحائد يصنع زاوية ” مع الاتجاه الأصلي للشعاع وتقوم العدسة بتجميـع الأشعة عند نقطة ما على الحاجز
