  2. DRESS CODE • The Academic Focus Dress Code is the same as Taylor County High School.

  3. Breakfast • Breakfast will be brought to you in the classroom.

  4. Individual Work Areas • Each student will be assigned his or classroom and work area.

  5. N O V E L S T A R S • Novel Stars is our online curriculum. You can do it and be very successful!!!!

  6. Expectations: • Work steadily • No putting your head down or sleeping • Be respectful, courteous, and cooperative

  7. Consequences • Minor Offenses: 1. Warning 2. Parental Contact 3.Parental Conference and Suspension 4. Suspension and loss of privileges • Major Offenses: 1. Contact parent with suspension 2. Contact SRO 3. File “Out of Control” 4. Recommend Expulsion • Any of the above steps can change at the principal’s discretion.

  8. Last Lunch • We always eat the very last lunch. We will eat in the cafeteria at the principal’s discretion.

  9. Restroom Breaks • Restroom breaks will be provided on a rotating schedule.

  10. No Electronic Devices • No cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, etc., should be out at any time between 7:20 and 3:15.

  11. Communication Signals • Pencil in Air (Need to Sharpen) • Bathroom Emergency (One Finger) • Hand Up (Everyone quiet immediately) • Thirsty (Three Fingers)

  12. Exit Procedures • You will exit from your assigned room (bus numbers will be announced)
