As a recruit you are required to satisfy the following selection criteria. • Integrity • Australian/New Zealand Citizen/permanent resident • Provisional drivers license/defensive driving • Medical/Beep test • Tertiary Education Skills • Vocational/life experience • First Aid Certificate • Swimming proficiency • Volunteer work

How do I succeed? • Attend course workshops including fitness sessions or study externally • Train in your own time – including swimming • Finish College course • Book in for medical • Complete beep test to ‘A’ level • Submit application • Be invited to testing • Prepare and perform well in testing

Birth certificate / marriage certificate Permanent residency / Citizenship Criminal clearance for all countries you have lived in for more than 6 months All addresses since 10 years old Referees you wish to use (min 3 personal and/or police, know for 12 mths or more)
