Funding for LMS & Training Activities • Decision Made to Spend: • $105K for Curriculum and Professional Development Training Guide (MARAMA) • Identifying 13 Job Functions • Knowledge, Skills and Understanding Is Needed to Perform Job Functions • Match Job Functions with Training Courses Currently Available • Gap Analysis • $345K to Update Self-Instructional Courses (NCOA) • 10 Updates Currently Underway With 4-5 To Be Updated • $550K for Development & Operation of an LMS

What APTI-Learn Will Do? • Displays National Air Quality Training Course Calendar • Lists Curricula For Specific Job Functions • Maintains Student Transcripts • Issues Course Completion Certificates • Supports Course Evaluations • Accepts Recommendations for Additional Training Needs • Compiles Annual Statistics into Customized Reports • Consolidates Training Management into a Single Coordinated System

Access to APTI-Learn Students Students are registered at this level State/Local Agencies Users at this level can access and update information at Agency level MJO Users at this level can access and update information at MJO and all levels below EPA Users at this level can access and update information across the entire system.

  15. Students • Perform the following functions: • Set-up Profile • Access “My Training” Menu Selection • Launch On-line Training • Register for Classroom Training • Complete Course & Instructor Evaluations • Print Certificates • Manage Transcripts

  16. Instructors • Perform the Following Functions: • View Attendee Lists • Enroll & Wait-List Students • Email Students Enrolled Wait-Listed • Assign Outcomes for Students (e.g. pass, fail, no show) • Run Evaluation Reports

  17. Training Coordinator • Perform all of the Instructor Functions Plus: • Schedule Classes • Assign instructors • Manage Classes in Jurisdiction (e.g. MJO) • Run Evaluation Reports • Create/Update/Merge Users

  18. Administrator (EPA) • Perform all of the Previous Functions Plus: • Manage Evaluations (i.e. add/update/delete) • Manage Profile Lists • Load Training Courses onto APTI-Learn • Manage Overall Site
