  2. PITCH 1 – FIX YOUR FACE • 'FIX YOUR FACE’ by Seeyousoon is an alternative pop/hip-hop song, created by a band of nine upcoming artists. For the artist our group will be designing, I envisioned using this song to guide an upcoming female artist, rather than a band. • The concept would be based on a 90’s aesthetic, using equipment such as a fish eye lens, funky costumes and the use of tilted camera angles, from above and below. • Even though the demographic would be strongly aimed for the younger generation, I think using the 90’s aesthetic offers opportunity for elder listeners to reminisce on the past with a fresh and new perspective.

  3. PITCH 2 – COCONUT OIL • ‘Coconut Oil’ by KIRBY is a retro soul bundle of funk. It offers a fresh insight into the diva’s of todays music and allows space for us as a team to design a new confident, sassy artist to release on the scene. • The concept would be a funky, golden shimmer performance based piece. It would highlight the theme of ‘coconut’, whether that be working with round shapes and designs, brown and golden colour schemes or set designs featuring the fruit itself.

  4. PITCH 3 – POSTER GIRL • ‘Poster Girl’ by Talia Goddess is an rnb/soul song. I love what this song has to offer, exploring themes such as sexuality and identity. As our group are planning to create an artist that represents significant themes such as self love, acceptance and individuality, this song is extremely on brand. • The concept for this song would follow a narrative of the artist obsessing over this girl, aka, the poster girl. We would show this LGBTQ+ infatuation through cool set designs and lighting; and really play on the ’magazine/poster’ theme and incorporate this in the design.
