Iloprost drugs are generally used to treat various types of pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH; abnormally high blood pressure in the arteries supplying the heart to the lungs, resulting in shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, and increased daytime sleepiness). Iloprost drugs are an injectable form of prostaglandin, which was initially developed for the treatment of peritonitis. Today, it is used to treat severe pulmonary hypertension, cerebrovascular ischemia, and photoreceptor keratopathy. It can be used to treat all of these conditions, although it has been shown to be particularly effective in the treatment of CFIDS, angina, and irritable bowel syndrome.
