  5. The hot-air balloon, which was invented by two French man, the Montgolfier brothers, was the first air transport. His first free flight was in 1783. But it had not practical using due to little load-carrying capacity and it was difficult to explorer.

  6. After the steam engine appearing over land and sea transport began to develop. The first steam locomotive was invented by English man Richard Trevithick in 1804. Due to the good weight-lifting capacity and big speed, the steam locomotive became the most important kind of transport in industrial countries. After the first world war airplanes began to use for passenger transportations. In spite of small load – carrying capacity of airplanes, they were used for passenger transportations on the big distances in a short space of time. After inventing of the jet engine airplane can load more then 100 tons.

  9. Now last step of development of transport is the spaceship. Since the first Moon landing in 1969, technology has developed to give us the space shuttle (1981) and even the space tourist (2002). The future of transport will probably be as exciting as its past.
