  3. The Black Sea • The Black Sea Coast stretches out for 244km/153 miles and is the main tourist area of Romania. It has fine, soft sand and safe, gently sloping beaches.

  4. The Danube Delta • The Danube delta hosts over 300 species of birds as well as 45 freshwater fish species in its numerous lakes and marshes. • The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga Delta, and it is the best preserved one on the continent.

  5. The Carpathian Mountains • They provide the habitat for the largest European populations of brown bears, wolves, chamois and lynxes, with the highest concentration in Romania,aswell as over one third of all European plant species.

  6. Easter In our country, the symbol of this celebration is the Easter egg.

  7. Christmas • The Christmas celebrations really begin on Christmas Eve, 24th, when it's time to decorate the Christmas Tree. People usually dress in bears or goats and sing carols.

  8. Monasteries in Romania • Whether you are interested in religion, history, art or architecture, you will be intrigued by the construction and decor — exterior and interior — of these edifices.
