Motivation • Why the topic? • Increasing awareness of environmental deterioration and protection • Water conservation should be more concerned • School is the fundamental institution- Cultivating people’s basic sense of value towards improving our society, especially environmental issues • Learning to have foresight • Speculating the coming disaster • Finding ways to improve on the current situation

Domestic Wastewater Treatment and Recycling • Definition • Removal of undesirable chemical & biological contaminants (waste liquid from toilets, baths, showers, kitchens, sinks, etc.) • Usage of treated water • Household water use (flushing toilet, cleaning mops & rags, etc.) • Irrigation (watering plants…)

Wastewater Treatment and Recycling Plant • An example — National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology • First University having more complete technical and financial help from Government on this experimental device • Amount of resources & expenses saved • 25,000 Metric Tons of water annually. • $NT 300,000 annually. • Engagement of education in water consumption
