Market Access Program (MAP) www.southaustralia.biz • MARKET ACCESS PROGRAM (MAP) - State government program - targeting new and irregular exporters • TRADESTART - Jointly State and Commonwealth - targeting new and irregular exporters • EXPORT MARKET DEVELOPMENT SCHEME - Commonwealth Government program - targeting sustainable exporters • EFIC HEADWAY - Commonwealth Government program - Provides access to extended bank credit facilities

Market Access Program (MAP) www.southaustralia.biz • Designed to assist small and medium sized exporters achieve the objectives of their export plans • Who is eligible? • registered small and medium sized South Australian businesses • ineligible for Austrade’s EMDG Scheme • Maximum of 3 grants per financial year or $15,000 per year on a dollar-for-dollar basis

ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES FOR MAP www.southaustralia.biz • Outgoing Export-Oriented Missions - Maximum grant of $5,000 ($2,000 cap on travel & Accommodation Group application – Project Manager plus 3 companies minimum - Maximum grant of $75,000 • Incoming Export-Related Missions • - Maximum grant of $1,000 – (individual) • - Maximum grant of $5,000 - (group) • • Other activities to increase export capability • - Maximum grant of $1,000 per financial year

Ineligible Expenses www.southaustralia.biz • Items of a capital nature such as luggage, mobile telephones, printers and portable display stands • Meals and beverages • Domestic on-ground transport (exception at the promotional end of an export- oriented trade show conducted in Australia) • Entertainment expenses • Activities which have received funding from another government agency • Any materials produced by, or research and project management provided from within, the requesting company • Facilitation payments or anything which contravenes the Criminal Code Amendment (Bribery of Foreign Public Officials) Act 1999, or anything which is otherwise illegal • Any activity which is not business related

EXPORT MARKET DEVELOPMENT GRANTS SCHEME www.southaustralia.biz • Targeting SMEs to encourage development of export markets • Reimburses up to 50% of eligible promotion expenses – after a threshold of $15,000 • Claim in arrears – the beginning of the next financial year • Provides up to 7 grants to each eligible applicant
