  2. Nutrition Information System - Eritrea Use of nutrition information: • Long term planning and policy making • Programme monitoring and evaluation • Timely warning to pre-empt mitigate crises

  3. Nutrition Information System - Eritrea Nutrition Information systems : • National level surveys – DHS and NSS survey • Reporting systems – • GMP ? • FTFC • CBTF • HMIS • Sentinel systems – Nutrition SSS (recently started as pilot)

Nutrition Information System - Eritrea Examples of Informations used: • National level surveys –NSS survey • High rate of GAM/SAM • Launching of CBTF/CTC & SFP • Expansion of TFCs • Reporting systems – Facility based TFC • Increased admission of severe malnutrition • Launching of CBTF/CTC • Sentinel systems – Nutrition SSS • High moderate malnutrition
