Words Their Way • Lists are on my website. • Monday – List goes home with weekly homework sheet. • Class time practice with patterns. • Differentiation • Friday – Final test and homework packets due back to school • We will begin sentence dictation on in October. Those will be with the list and on my website. • 36 No Excuse Words.

  5. Writing/English • Students writing folders school. • Brainstorming topics • Special paper • Concentrate on making books not just stories. • Writerly Life, Small Moments, Non-Fiction, Poetry • Proofreading and editing • Publishing work • Daily Language Review

  9. Grades • 4 – Exceeds NYS Learning Standards. Independently and consistently demonstrates skills above expectations. (89 – 100) • 3 – Meets NYS Learning Standards with performance at grade level. Consistently demonstrates expected skills.( 88 – 77) • 2 – Needs extra help to meet NYS Learning Standards. Independent performance is usually below grade level. Inconsistently demonstrates expected skills. (76 – 65) • 1 – Not meeting NYS Learning Standards even with assistance. Performance is significantly below grade level. Does not demonstrate expected skills. (64 and below)
