  1. Monday morning

  2. WE COME TO GOD IN PRAYER Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

  3. WE PRAY PSALM 5 Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice.

  4. You are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice.

  5. But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favour as with a shield. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice.

  6. GOD SPEAKS TO US Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth.

Thank you for renewing us in our baptism; enable all Christians to die to sin and rise to new life through faith in you. Gracious Father: hear our prayer.

  12. For this good and prosperous land we give you thanks: direct those who govern and administer our society, and bless our country with peace. Gracious Father:hear our prayer. Thank you for letting us share in your Son’s joy: overcome our tiredness, stress and worry, and fill us with the joy of living as your children. Gracious Father:hear our prayer.

  13. (Other prayers may follow)

  14. I thank you, heavenly Father, through your dear Son, Jesus Christ, that you have protected me through the night from all harm and danger. I ask you to keep me this day, too, from all sin and evil, so that in all my thoughts, words, and deeds I may please you. In your hands I place my body and soul and all that is mine. Let your holy angel be with me, so that the evil one may have no power over me. Amen.
