  2. Purpose of Training To acquaint you with DOSH PPE rules, WAC 296-800-160, as they apply to school districts.

  4. What is a Hazard An existing (or potential) condition or work practice that, by itself or in combination with other conditions, could cause injury, illness, or death to workers.

  5. Purpose of a Hazard Assessment • To protect the eyes, face, head, body, arms, hands, legs, feet, or whole body from hazards caused by environmental conditions, biological, physical objects/conditions, use of chemicals, or hazardous energies such as electrical, physical, mechanical, or radiological.

  6. Hazard Assessment Methods • Each job must be evaluated for hazards • Methods of Evaluation Hazard Assessment (HA) Checklist* = PPE Hazard Assessment Certification Form* = Hazard Analysis (HA) = Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)* = Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
