Adult Educational Games • Problem • Many games coming to market today have no purpose and are reflecting a bad light on the medium. • The only educational games on the market are for lingual skills or elementary typing and math. • Impact • Employees taught from games will be trained quicker and faster if they enjoy the instruction medium better. • Can be applied to many different jobs and fields with little change to the basic games. • Approach • Thesis – Knowledge learned by playing a game will be learned quicker and more permanently than standard methods. • Approach – A series of simple games will be constructed that will provide knowledge in a particular area. • How –Using simple game designs (Missile Command, Whack-A-Mole, etc) and finding a field where knowledge requirements can be applied to a gaming environment (ex: Cops memorizing police radio codes).
