Progress To Date • Updated submission process document • Data brick and electronic delivery process in place • Baselined Delivery Manifest V1 schema • Delivered Manifest generator • Delivered Xman version 2.4 • Upgraded NSSDC staging capacity • Actively working on delivery using NAS • NSSDC procured a 64-TB NAS • Tracking process in place with status maintained on wiki site: http://oodt.jpl.nasa.gov/wiki/display/NDWG/Home

Delivery Status (1 0f 4) • Atmosphere • 71 volumes delivered and ingested • Preparing 64 volumes (have config files / IDs), loading data brick, plan to fill it up close to full before delivery • ~40% of entire holding delivered and ingested into NSSDC • Geosciences • 27 volumes delivered with 24 ingested and 2 need to be re-delivered • Preparing 72 volumes (have config files / IDs) for electronic delivery

Delivery Status (2 0f 4) • Imaging • 78 volumes (58% of completed missions) delivered and ingested • Schedule to deliver active/Accumulating missions (THEMIS, Messenger, MER, MRO (CTX,HiRISE, MARCI) data later this year • NAIF • 12 volumes delivered and ingested • ~80% of entire holding delivered and ingested into NSSDC • Delivery schedule annually

Delivery Status (3 0f 4) • PPI • 64 volumes delivered and ingested • Planning to send a copy of all data on hand on a data brick for safe keeping • RINGS • 13 volumes delivered and 12 ingested • Preparing 5 volumes (including 3 redeliveries) for electronic delivery • ~75% of “locally archived” holding delivered and ingested into NSSDC

Delivery Status (4 0f 4) • SBN - UMD • 32 volumes delivered and ingested • Waiting for 24 config files / IDs • Preparing 59 (received config files / IDs) volumes for delivery • SBN - PSI • 6 volumes delivered and ingested into NSSDC • Waiting for 19 config files / IDs • Preparing 73 (received config files / IDs) volumes for delivery

  8. Issues • Incorrect syntax errors in catalog files if needed • NSSDC ingest software does not handle some features supported in earlier PDS Standards • Lack superseded and accumulating volumes policy

  9. Near Term Focus • Move Delivery Manifest generation software to operational state • Test and document NAS delivery process for large volumes • Develop realistic schedule(s) for delivering complete volumes
