  2. Goals of the 5th Annual Luncheon • Increase awareness • Increase attendance • Increase nominations • Increase student essay participation • Increase collegiality • Diverse committee • Cesar Chavez • Alumni & Friends

  3. Learning Outcomes • Essay participants will learn more about a woman while increasing writing skills • Nominators will learn more about the nominees • Students/staff/faculty who attend the luncheon will learn more about the campus community and the awardees • CSUCI community will know the event is open to all (men, too!)

  4. AwardNominations • Nominator (you): student, staff, faculty • Nominee (a woman): student, staff, faculty, community member, alumnus (new!) • On-line nominations March 1st -12th on the MWGC webpage: http://www.csuci.edu/studentlife/MWGC.htm

  5. Student Essay Contest • Two-page essay • National theme “Generations of Women Moving History Forward” • Cesar Chavez core values • Criteria on-line at http://www.csuci.edu/studentlife/MWGC.htm • Due March 12th by 5:00 p.m.
