  1. Be Assertive Teens – 4 Ways To Be Assertive Be Assertive Teens – 4 Ways To Be Assertive Confused between assertiveness and aggression? Yeah! There is a lot of difference in between being assertive aggressive. People today mingle up both of them. Like standing up for yourself, expressing your views and being honest is not aggressiveness. Therefore aggressiveness is a hostile way of behaving. For the teens, it is very important for them to be asserted. The parents should lay the foundation of assertiveness in them for life long success. A teen who is a better communicator, more confident, less stressed, more responsible etc is assertive in nature. The fact that assertive nature has lot of benefit, many teens don’t know to express their feelings or to stand up for themselves in the proper manner. Assertiveness training for teens is very important in today’s world. So don’t you worry parents! We bring you some easy ways to help your child be assertive!! So, here we go!   To identify feeling is all they need to know! : It is quite likely that a growing up teen will be quite under confusion. He/she might not understand their feeling or able to express themselves. Here the parents and have to take the initiative. Parents should provide their teen with clear understanding of emotion. It helps them to express their emotions in a proper way. No one will understand what you need unless you explain them. A parent should encourage their child to express their thought, feeling, opinion in an honest and respectful way!

  2.   It’s all about commutation skills: the way you speak has an important aspect of how you communicate with others. Observe the way in which they communicate.is it passive? Aggressive? Assertive? What if the style is not proper? Here are some easy tips for the teens to improve their style. 1) Face the person but don’t frown 2) A calm tone of voice is of no harm! 3) Don’t rush your talk. Speak a little slow 4) Be clear, specific and explain in polite way   Express in a positive way: keeping your calm while speaking is very important thing to learn. It needs to be in practice to talk in a respectful way, adults should set an example to them. Children should understand being aggressive will not help them to explain their point! Give them examples of Gandhi or Swami Vivekananda.   Praise assertiveness: whenever your child comes to you giving suggestion just praise them. This will help their confidence to boost up! And best ways to boost your confidence. Praise your teen!!!! Appreciate their assertiveness. This will encourage them to be assertive with the world also... Some are born assertive will others have to strive through the toils to gain it. But if your child isn’t assertive just help them being one! Criticizing them or scolding them will be of no help. Parents are the first teacher, so help your child to be a positive person .the above points will surely help you to get through this parenthood!
