Un-issuable Materiel (CC J/K/L) Battle with Suspended Stock Un-issuable Materiel • $1.2 B of J, K, L condition in stock • DLA is working SDRs w/Disposition Instructions • DLA is starting to follow-up on SDRs at 55 days DLA Distribution DLA Supply Chain Service Supply Chain Background: Large amount of stock that can not be issued due to discrepancies identified by DLA Distribution. Opportunity: Partnership between DLA/Service Supply Chains to gain disposition ( DRMO, PPP&M, etc.) and reduce causes that require stock to be suspended. Benefits: Place materiel back into issuable condition, fill backorders, reduce storage footprint and related handling costs, prevent re-procurement, & increase order effectiveness. Joint Approach to Resolution • DLA Distribution IPTs with Services – Obtain disposition and identify root cause • Made strides in obtaining disposition • Challenge is getting to root cause • Navy/DLA CPI - subset of IPT • Investigating PDC to automate SDR follow-ups $ Value Trend of J,K,L J,K,L Dollar Value as of 1 March, 2012 Reduce Suspended Stock
