Test Taker’s Guide to Ace the OET Reading Section: Part B OET Reading Section Part B: Multiple-Choice Questions One of the two sections of the Occupational English Test (OET) reading section is Part B: Multiple- Choice Questions. In this reading section, test takers must read two texts (600–800 words each) that are related to a general medical topic. For each reading passage, OET test takers will need to answer 8–10 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes. Moreover, this OET reading section evaluates test takers ability in understanding longer passages of text at the level of word/phrase, explicit meaning, and implied purpose.

  2. On the day of the examination, test takers will be given a test booklet and an answer sheet for the reading task. Then, they are required to fill out the questions using a pencil and to bring an eraser as well. Use the key points and details that you have gathered while skimming the paragraph.  Review your answers After picking your answers, make sure to use an extra time reviewing them.
