Se numeşte Jabuticaba, sau aborele de struguri,şi se găseşte numai în jungla amazoniană din Brazilia. • Ceea ce îl face de-a dreptul neobişnuit este modul în care fructele sale apar direct pe trunchiul copacului şi nu pe ramuri, aşa cum se întamplă în cazul tuturor celorlalţi pomi fructiferi. • Fructele, jaboticabas, sunt comestibile şi pot fi consumate crude, fără a necesita o preparare prealabilă.

  3. Spre deosebire de alţi pomi, fructele sale pot fi culese şi mâncate direct de pe trunchi. Pentru a supravieţui, Jabuticaba a evoluat prin a-şi face mai accesibile roadele pentru acele animale care nu se pot cătăra.
