  3. Habitat • Southern Hemisphere • Spend most of the time in ocean cold water • When in danger hop on pack ice of land • Habit are very barren • Easy target no protection • Breed and molt • Rookeries live in group called Home Your Text Here

  4. Food and Water • Predator • They hunt: • fish, squid, crab, shrimp, krill • All food in sea or ocean • Eat much as can! • Spines on there tongs • Eat stones to digest food • Drink sea water Home

  5. Daily Behavior • Eat in spring and summer • Male and female take turns caring for baby/babies • Enemies are petrel , killer Wales ,sea leopards • Antarctic penguins hunt!!!! • Preen their feathers • Oil from their tail Home

  6. Family Structure • Both feed young • Both male & female build nest • Both look for food • Both sit on nest • Both protect the chick/chicks • Both in charge of young • Lays two eggs • Young are called chicks Home

Interesting Fact • People use poop to use on the farm • Have Feb feet • See full under water • tucks beak under wing • Black & white protect from predator • Water proof feather • When flapping wings cooling off and pant • When molting cant swim • Very social animal • Noise because they call to the female and declare the land!
