  1. How to Put Together a Skateboard By: Rebecca Angelastro

  2. Materials • Deck • Grip tape • Mounting hardware -eight deck nuts • Trucks • Wheels • Bearings • Utility knife

  3. How to prepare the grip tapeand apply it • Place the deck flat • Peel grip tape away to expose adhesive • Place grip tape on board • Rub out air bubbles • Score the grip tape • Cut off the excess grip tape

  4. Making room for the screws • Place screws facing down • The head of the screw should be flush with the grip tape • Screws should go through risers

  5. Incorporating risers • The risers are the separation between trucks and deck • Helps create less rubbing • More distance between the two

  6. Adding the trucks on • Place trucks on top of risers • Start to thread nuts on by hand • Tighten the nuts to the deck, trucks, and risers • Do not over tighten; but keep it snug

  7. Additional material • Bearings are sold separately • Bearings are put into the middle of the wheels • They increase speed and minimize friction

  8. Lastly, Wheels • Put all four wheels on all the trucks • Tighten axle nuts • Leave wiggle room for Barings
