  6. Salary Survey • Launches in November 2009 • ASA, CSSA, SSSA and ICCA (certifications) involved • Comprehensive look at the professions • Define job functions/duties and what someone gets paid • Hopefully will indicate differential in pay for certified vs. not certified

FFA • Career Workshop – October 22 • CCAs talk about what their backgrounds are, what they do in their jobs and why • About 100 high school students attend the session • Majority have indicated they are going to college for an ag related major • This is the second year • Sponsorship of the agronomy and soils contests along with ASA and SSSA

  9. Articles in magazines • Ag Professional – monthly • CropLife – quarterly or so • CSA News ( ASA/CSSA/SSSA members) • Links to universities - students • Crops and Soils magazine (all certified)

  10. Crops and Soils magazine • All certified get it and students • Now every other month (6X/year) • Educational focus • Reinforces the value of being certified • Communication piece for the program

Radio spots • Missouri CCA board example • Developed 10 radio spots • Top 10 reasons why you should contact a CCA • Professionally done, inexpensive • Make available to all local boards, ICCA covers the development costs • Potential approach: ICCA provides the finished product, local boards set up local radio stations to run it ?
