  14. Victory Verse Ephesians 6:10-11 “10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.”

  15. What are the devil's schemes?

  16. What is Truth? John 18:37-38 “36 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." 37"You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." 38"What is truth?" Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him.”

  17. Jesus is the truth John 14:6 “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

  18. Satan is the Father Of Lies John 8:44 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

  19. Apologetics: Biblical Defense 1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”

  20. 1 PETER 3: 15 Key Terms

  21. What is Modernism and Postmodernism?

  22. Three Views of Truth • Pre-modernism – God-centered universe, revelation, truth is absolute. • Modernism – Enlightenment, science, truth is relative. • Postmodernism – loss of hope for truth, truth is created.

  23. Is Truth Exclusive? Postmodernism says no Law of Non-contradiction- The idea that “there is no truth” cannot be true, because to affirm this idea is to assert a truth (it is true that there is no truth).

  24. Biblical Thinking 2 Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
