  2. Orang Asli • These people are known as Orang Asli, Orang Asli. They are the aborigines of Peninsular Malaysia. Orang Asli live in nomadic and hunt in Taman Negara

  3. Groups of Orang Asli • There are two groups of them, Batek and Semokberi. Their physical appearances look almost similar. Batek who are more gentle, short , dark skin and tight curly hair, whilst Semokberi have wavy hair. They live in simple basic structure of palm-thatched shelters with several families live together. Some of the shelters are alongside the trails.

  4. What they eat? • They get their food from forest such as fruits, yam and animal for meat. They use traditional hunting weapon called a blow pipe. Just ask them how to use it and they are happy to show it to you. Their skills and knowledge in Taman Negara make them a very good guide if you need to explore Taman Negara and GunungTahan. 

  5. Respect • These people are friendly and know how to respect outside people like us. In return, please do the same to them. Respect their individual and family privacy. You can take photograph with their permission.
