President's Dilemma Solution • Describe the problem by having the 1's share the problem, 2's share the concerns of the 3 interest groups, and 3's & 4's share info on the 2 tools you have to work with. Once done, and everyone in the group has an idea as to the problem your group can move to step • Create a solution to the problem and use the paper I have given you and any markers from the back of the room to record your solution. You can use any combination of text and visuals you choose. Remember that you have a limited amount of time. Your book and the internet may also be used as a resource Your solution must: • (5 Points) Demonstrate understanding of Unemployment, Inflation, Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy, & GDP. • (5 Points) Describe the recommended Fiscal & Monetary Policies your group will recommend that the President uses to solve the crisis. (this must be done using the descriptions of "easy" & "tight" policies and must also fully describe the choices made) • Note: Depending on the choices you make, your solution may require you to mix elements of both easy and tight fiscal/monetary policies to fix the President's Dilemma • You have the rest of the block to get your decision on paper, we will share briefly at the start of next class before starting our Stock Market Unit • If you do not finish, you need to finish during block 7 today or tomorrow
