  4. About CETA Tours • CETA was founded by two foreign language teachers. • They have been arranging tours abroad for students since 1974. • They are based out of Menomonie, WI.

  5. Tour Inclusions • Round-trip air transportation from Denver on scheduled carrier. • Land transportation on air-conditioned motor coach bus, public rail and public transit. • Multi-bedded (3-4 to a room) accommodations in tourist class hotels. • Flight schedules and hotel lists will be handed out by your teacher in March, 2007.

  6. Meal Inclusions • All meals are included • The meals that are included are eaten as a group either at the hotel or in a nearby restaurant during the tour portion. • For some meals students may eat on own but money has been budgeted to cover the cost. • Meals during the family stay will be eaten with the family. On days when the group takes excursions, the families will provide a sack lunch.

  7. Sightseeing Inclusions • Entrance fees are included in the tour price for all sights listed in the itinerary. • All guided tours are included in the tour price.

  8. Family Stay in Salamanca • Five day family stay in Salamanca • Two students per family • Students will fill out a questionnaire and write a letter to their prospective host families • Students will receive information about their host family two-three weeks before departure.

  10. Items not Included in the Tour Price • Beverages, except at breakfast • Luggage handling • Passport Fees

  11. Spending Money • We recommend $75 per week to cover beverages and some snacks. This does not include souvenirs. • Most students take $200-$400 on a trip of this length. • There will be information about how to get currency while in Europe at future meetings.

  12. Payment Schedule • $400 is due with application by November 27. • Second payment of $800 is due January 5, 2007. • Balance is due March 30, 2007. • Receipts will be mailed directly to students and their parents upon receipt of application. • Invoices will be mailed directly to students and their parents several weeks before each payment is due.

  13. Cancellation Policy • Cancellations made before December 31, 2006 incur a $75 administrative fee. • Cancellations made between January 1, 2007 and March 29, 2007 will incur a $400 penalty. • Cancellations made between March 30, 2007 and up to 31 days prior to departure incur a $400 penalty plus any lost deposits for bus, airfare and accommodations. • Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to departure will not receive a refund.

  17. Scholarships • CETA Tours offers five need-based scholarships in the amount of $500 each to students participating on a CETA Tour. • Application packets are available upon request once a student is signed up for the tour. • Students must request the application packet directly from CETA. • Application deadline is December 31st, 2006. • Winners will be notified in writing within 45 days of application deadline. • Winners can expect the $500 credit to appear on their final invoice.

  18. Future Meetings • Once your group is formed, your teachers will hold more meetings to help you prepare for your tour (in family’s homes). • CETA Tours will send most of the tour preparation information to your teacher so attending these meetings will be very important. • CETA Tours will send a parent handbook to students and their parents with the invoice for the second payment. It lists all information students will receive at meetings as well as tips on preparing for the tour.

  19. Questions? • Please talk to your teacher or contact Kristen Billingsley at CETA Tours if you have any questions about the tour. • Kristen can be reached by phone at 1-800-501-0397 or by e-mail at kbillingsley@cetatour.com.
