  1. Math Poster Assignment Welcome Back Students!

  2. 6th – 7th Poster • Front: Create a drawing that illustrates how you feel about Math. You must use color and cover the whole page. • Back: Identify 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses you have as a math student. Be specific and use complete sentences.

  3. 6th – 7th Poster Cont. • This poster gives me a chance to get to know you better. So Please be honest. • This assignment is going to be your first grade in this class. Please take your time and make sure you follow the directions.

  4. 8th Poster • Identify three goals that will help you be more successful in math class this year. Your goals must be in complete sentences. • Create a comic strip that shows you taking steps to reach one of your goals. The comic strip must have at least 5 squares.

  5. 8th Poster Cont. • Example: My goal is to pay better attention in class. My first square might show me going to bed early so I am not tired for class. The second square might show me eating breakfast. The third might be about getting all of my supplies for class out of my locker, etc.

  6. 8th Poster Cont. • Please remember that you are now 8th graders. That means you will be held to 8th grade standards! Please make sure your work is neat, your sentences are well written, and you have taken time on your drawings! This will be your first grade in this class.
