  1. Students Make a Difference • Given ten minutes to make a presentation to the world or national leaders of your choice: • What international problem would you want them to fix and how would you recommend they do it? • Products Required: • Problem Proposal (one page) • Outline of Presentation: Answer the key questions in advance of the presentation • Give PowerPoint presentation (include copy of slides)

  2. Students Make a Difference: Presentation Questions • What is the Sustainability Problem (what is wrong and needs to be fixed) & why should world, national or local leaders pay attention to it? • Any background information on the problem needed, including who is currently winning and losing with this issue (politically and economically)? • What is your recommended solution/improvement? Be specific: what is to be done and who will do it. • What would it cost, who pays, and who is effected economically?

  3. Students Make a Difference: Presentation Questions • How would this proposal work to actually improve the problem (feasibility)? • Who has to agree/accept this solution for it to be carried out, and Why, with supporting data, do you think they might actually accept it (acceptability)?  • Will they accept the political and economic costs?  • If this seems unlikely, how would the leaders persuade them? • Any moral or proportionality issues with your recommendation (suitability)?  Address "suitability" only if  you feel it is necessary.
