There are 3 main visuals of which each shows up at each reload. One appearing above is one of them.(Image #1) Throughout the site, the ‘main menus’ and ‘locator bar’ appear for easy navigation. The locator bar includes links to nike.co.kr site, which is not a part of nikerunning site but a separate site.

The movie tells a story about a first time race runner and how the runner finds ‘his own race.’ He wants to challenge himself for the first time but has not enough confidence about himself. With text copy of the runner’s monologue, the story shows a full process of a race and how he thinks through the race. It starts as below; “Today is a special day for me.. Trying to do something new gives me expectation but I am scared.. “ (Music produced by Post Visual plays throughout the movie. Turn the sound ON!)

Copy concludes; “Real victory is not to win over something, but not to give up. The same page appears when clicking on ‘Footwear.’ The page introduces detailed types of footwear products. Products are divided by gender and 5 main functions of running footwear. Each function menu displays detailed information at mouse-over. Each product category (apparel, footwear, equipment) shows up at mouse over on ‘Product’ menu at the bottom. All products in ‘Product’ menu were released during summer 2003. (=Nike’s ‘Fall 03’ season)

Men’s product list shows up first as default. Each product shows a graph at the bottom to tell how much each of the 5 functions are featured in that product. Products with ‘KEY ITEM’ tag offers enlarged images of key parts in an individual product page. (as next page) (Other function menus (2.1a~2.1e) displays the same way as above.)

Products marked as ‘Key item’ show enlarged images of key parts of a product. (As shown above.) Other products in the same function displays on the right bar. On the top, user can move to other function directly from this page.

By dragging an arrow, user can move the two lists (upper and bottom) from left to right to find product he/she wants. Each product shows an individual product page at click. Able to jump to a different gender group from the top menu. (Women’s product list follows the same format as above.)

User needs to fill out a questionnaire to submit his/her preference. ‘Begin search’ menu goes to the questionnaire. This menu is also linked from all footwear product pages so that user can jump from product list to customized search directly.

User needs to fill out 9 questions regarding his/her personal preference, running pattern, body size, age, gender. . . Etc. Once filled in, it searches and displays a list of products that fit to the type of the person.

In the left box, the result explains what type of runner user is (ie. Beginner, serious runner or elite runner) and what kind of products the user needs. A bar on the right side lists products that matches with user’s type. Individual product information shows up from each list in the bar.

All of them have been applied to Nike running footwear or apparel. Same as a default page of Nike technology 3.1. (3.1a Energy return cushioning was originally created by Nike US and is localized for this site. So please disregard 3.1a as a part of our submission but just consider it as our effort to provide quality and variety content.

Some of them has text information in multiple pages, and the number of multiple pages to be shown on the right bottom corner of the text info. In this specific menu, Nike Air is introduced from inside out.

Advanced FIT offers different size customized Asian runner’s foot size. Nike research team has been aware that Asians have different foot shape from westerners and have designed different sizes so that Asian runners can benefit all the special functions at maximum.

Nike Sphere (Page #1) is a Nike’s apparel technology that helps to keep apparel cool and dry while exercising at the same time controls body heat at the best condition. Biomimicry (Page #2) is a design style that gives comfort in each movement by applying more effective cutting lines than normal apparel product.

(3.2b ’ Injuries from running’ consist of the same content structure and introduces kinds of injuries that can caused by running and how to prevent them.)

With this menu, the menu ‘Nike Service’ is designed to provide content that user can keep the inspiration from the site even after he/she leaves the site. (ie. See downloaded wall paper in computer or visit stores listed in the store locator menu.)
