  3. Where you can help • Saint’s Place • Pittsford Food Cupboard • Matthew’s Closet • St. Martin’s Place • Bethany House • Heather Heights of Pittsford • Sr. Regis Food Cupboard

  4. Saint’s Place • Assists refugees • They have fled from their war-torn home countries • Seek asylum in U.S. • 700+ helped each year in ROCHESTER • Donations of local home goods, clothing and furniture • Starter kits • Tutoring Center • Thursdays

  5. Pittsford Food Cupboard • Donations of non-perishable food items • Stocking shelves

  6. Matthew’s Closet • Provides clothing to those in need • In 2010: 3,400 adults 3,600 children • Donations of: • Socks & underwear • All sizes, MWC • Winter coats • All sizes, MWC • Men’s gloves/hats • Sheets/bedding-queen size or twin • Dishes, household items

  7. St. Martin’s Place • Soup kitchen provides • Hospitality • Noontime meal • For inner city • 50-100 guests • Lunch 11:45 am MWF • Brunch 10am Tuesday • YOU CAN • Prepare • Serve • Clean up • Donate non-perishables and paper goods

  8. Bethany House • Items needed: • Women and children’s clothing • Non-perishable food items • Paper goods • Health & beauty items • Baby items • Throw a baby shower? • A Catholic workers house supporting homeless women • and children • YOU CAN: • Prepare a meal at home or at the shelter…dinner is at 6 • Sort/distribute clothing • Sort/stack food pantry

Heather Heights of Pittsford • Craft guild • Thursday at 3, Friday at 1:30 pm • Help move furniture or help residents come to weekend entertainment performances • Provide an hour of entertainment • Piano included • Adult care residence • YOU CAN: • Play 1-on-1 games • Help with group games • Bingo is MW Sat, 3pm • Play in the Wii bowling league • Work in the ice cream parlor, 2:30-3:30 pm • Crochet/knit with their group

  10. Sr. Regis Food Cupboard • Stack the shelves • Items needed: • Cold/hot cereal bfasts • Canned food • Healthy snacks • Juice • Diapers • Paper goods • Basic toiletries
