  3. SURVEY Purpose: (1) Records the item that has been lost. (2) Affects the cost of replacement by charging the unit price instead of the net price.

  4. SURVEY Types of Surveys a. IOU: (1) Record the survey of an asset owed to supply by a customer due to requisition. b. DIFM: (1) Records the survey of an asset owed to supply by AIMD.

  5. SURVEY c. LIS: (1) Record the survey of an item indicated as LIS via Receipt On Board (ROB).

  6. SURVEY d. SUPPLY OFFICER: (1) Records the survey of an SO RFI asset that was previously transferred to suspense during inventory process or for other unspecified reasons and for which a survey document has been completed.

  7. PROCESS SURVEYS IN NALCOMIS ONLY AFTERA FORMAL SURVEY HAS BEENINITIATED AND APPROVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENTSUPPLY DOCTRINE
