    3. Instructor Courses Regional Instructors: Pediatricians District Instructors : Pediatrician, Obstetrician, Anesthetist, Medical graduate with newborn training or experience in care of newborns at hospital level.

    4. Provider courses Basic NRP- is recommended for resource limited settings where skilled manpower and /or instruments are not available. Advanced NRP- is recommended for persons responsible for performing a complete resuscitation (or providing direct assistance). Type of course offered will also depend on job responsibilities of learners, availability of instructors, training material ( Manikins) & time available for training.

Components and Duration of Regional Instructor Course Eligibility- Completion of Advanced Provider Course and District Instructor Course Course = Lessons 1-9 from AAP text book of Neonatal Resuscitation ( 5th Edition) Duration = 2 days Ratio of Faculty to trainee = 1:6-8 Includes Provider and Instructor ( Regional Trainer) components

    6. Components and Duration of District Instructor Course Course content Basic provider course Lessons 1-3 with Written evaluation, Performance Check List and Megacode District Instructor Resource Guide Ratio of Faculty to trainee = 1:6-8 Includes Provider and Instructor ( DI) components

    7. Components and Duration of Provider Courses Basic- Based on Lessons 1-3 of AAP text book of NRP Course Manual : Skilled birth attendants manual of LDSC, IAP NRP manual for health workers Duration: 6 hours Advanced- Based on Lessons 1-6 of AAP text book of NRP 7-9 self study and written evaluation Course manual - AAP text book of NRP Duration: 8-10 hours

    8. Course Manual For Basic NRP Provider course and District Instructor course ,course manual is LDSCs SBA Textbook Charities-revised For Advanced NRP Provider course and Regional Instructor course , course manual is AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Text Book ,5th Edition .
