Character List • Emmaline Quade-15, Julia’s best friend, also musician, curly hair with freckles on her nose and forehead • Luke Sutherland-16, Long dark brown hair, tall, shy, only son left at home • Christine Woodmark-Slender,is believed to haunt the marsh, wrote books and sang • Julia Foster-15, Musician plays piano. She has green eyes, straight brown hair with blond streaks, she is spoiled and emotional.

  3. Summary • The story takes place deep in the Cascade Mountains in a small town called Moon Valley. The starts a girl named Julia Foster who moves out to the country with her father and grandmother. She meets a guy which she falls in love with, named Luke Sutherland at the marsh. While she was there she also saw a ghostly figure .She confides in her grandmother about what she saw at the marsh. Amazingly her grandmother told her that the figure was an old enemy of Luke’s Grandmother when she was alive, but she died of a sickness. Julia sees the figure many times after the conversation. Luke’s grandmother was very angry at Chrinstine because it turns out that Matthew, Luke’s grandfather, loved Christine instead of his wife. Julia was having trouble with finding things about her music and so was Christine when she was alive. Christine was haunting her to tell her to follow her dream with music.

Flow Chart • Julia moves to Moon Valley with her dad. • She sees the ghost who haunts the marsh. • Her curiosty leads her into making an investigation on the ghost. • Julia finds out the ghosts name, Christine Woodmark. • With the help of friends and her love, she finds books, music, and drawings that belonged to Christine. • After reading Christine’s book she thinks her life and Christine’s relates. • Christine appears tom Julia and tells her not to leave her not to leave her musical talent behind. • Julia says good-bye to her love, family and friends. • She then moves back to Seattle and returns to her music classes.

  5. Ending • Luke and I sit on a log not speaking when all of a sudden we both speak .”Sorry” he said. I turn and look at him and say “Luke I love you and I don’t care if you don’t love me.” Luke stares at me and says “I love you .“ I start to cry and Luke grabs my hand and kisses it and says ”I love you and will miss you.” I look up in wonder. “ Luke you’ve not heard? There’s a school I can go to about an hour away and I’m moving in with my father!”
