  1. Simple and Easy Tips for Installing Leather Tile Installing Leather tile is a great way to improve the overall appearance of your home or business. Tile floor installation does not have to be an arduous or almost impossible task. Carpenters ranging from experts to novices can install decorative Leather tiles and can do so in a reasonable amount of time. Before starting your installation, you must have the proper tools for it. For more information, visit: https://www.tempestaluxury.com/ There are at least four basic tools you will need for laying Leather tile. As with any carpentry or construction work, you will need to have safety gear. This gear includes safety glasses, work clothes with long sleeves, and heavy leather gloves for handling equipment and debris. Should your tile need to be resized or reshaped, a tile cutter would be a beneficial addition to your carpentry tool set. Additional items you will need include a tape measure, level, carpenter's square, tiles spacers, trowels, and a putty knife. You will also need a tile adhesive or mortar, a rubber grout float, and a tile sealant., Once you have your equipment ready, you will need to prime your floor. The floor must be clean and free of debris. The surface of the floor must be smooth and in good condition. Repair any chips or cracks that may be in the floor prior to installing Leather tile. Make sure that, if there was tile previously on the floor, it is removed completely prior to tile installation. For wood floors, make sure that they have sufficient thickness to prevent the tiles from warping over time. After the floor has been properly prepared, you will need to measure the floor prior to Leather tile floor installation. Locate the center of the room, and lightly create a chalk intersection from one end of the floor to the other. Use this guideline to measure the area of the room and calculate the number of tiles you will need. From there, start laying your tiles at the center of the intersection, and follow along the line. As you're laying Leather tile, place a thin line of mortar on the back of each one. Press down firmly, and twist the tile until it is secure and flat against the floor. Wipe away any excess adhesive. Repeat this process until the entire floor has been tiled. The final process of installing Leather tile is the addition of Leather tile grout and sealant. Grout is used to fill in the areas between the tiles, and to seal any remaining gaps. A rubber grout float is a great tool to have on hand for this process. As with the previous step, wipe away excess grout that may have built up around the tiles. Allow the grout to dry prior to adding the sealant. Once the sealant is applied, allow it to dry for at least 24 hours. After the drying period is over, your tile should be firmly set, and safe enough to walk on.
