MAKMAL ROBOTIK Makmal Robotik ditubuhkan pada 1994 bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kreativiti pelajar di negara ini untuk mencipta robot yang bermutu tiNggi serta pintar.Untuk membina robot yang pintar,seseorang pereka itu perlu mempunyai pengetahuan dalam pelbagai bidang teknologi termasuk sektor pembuatan dan rekaan. Tanpa menguasai bidang-bidang berkenaan,hasil rekaannyA tidak akan menjadi robot yang pintar.Oleh sebab itu makmal robotiK di UTM ditubuhkan bagi memastikan usaha kerajaan untuk mengetengahkan pelajar tempatan untuk mencipta pelbagai jenis robot berjaya. Projek yang dijalankan haruslah mengandungi ciri teknologi tinggi terkini yang dikawal oleh sebuah komputer pemproses mikro,pemgawal mikro atau sebuah pengawal logik boleh aturcara.Pada tahap ini mekanisme perlu berfungsi dengan baik dan digerakkan oleh litar elektronik yang direka bentuk khas dengan pengguna penderia.
